Deuxième journée, premiers tournants à Nairobi. La CAN féminine 2026 de volley-ball se poursuit ce mercredi avec une journée particulièrement chargée. Après les premiers résultats enregistrés mardi, certaines sélections doivent déjà réagir tandis que d’autres peuvent faire un pas important vers le second tour.
Au programme : sept rencontres, dont un très attendu Cameroun-Tunisie, mais aussi un duel sous pression entre le Sénégal et l’Égypte.
RDC-Rwanda : les Amavubi veulent confirmer
La journée s’ouvre à 10h00 à la Kasarani Indoor Arena avec l’affiche entre la RDC et le Rwanda.
Les Rwandaises ont parfaitement lancé leur compétition en dominant l’Algérie lors de la première journée. Une nouvelle victoire leur permettrait de prendre une sérieuse option sur la qualification pour la suite du tournoi.
Face à elles, la RDC n’aura donc pas droit à l’erreur. Les Congolaises devront hausser le niveau pour contrarier une sélection rwandaise déjà en confiance.
Sénégal-Égypte : les Lionnes jouent gros
À 16h00, toujours à Kasarani, le Sénégal affronte l’Égypte.
Après leur défaite contre l’Ouganda lors de la première journée, les Sénégalaises sont déjà condamnées à réagir. Un nouveau revers compliquerait sérieusement leur situation dans le groupe B.
Mais la mission s’annonce délicate. L’Égypte arrive avec le plein de confiance après sa victoire contre le Burkina Faso. Les Égyptiennes voudront enchaîner pour se rapprocher du prochain tour.
Pour le Sénégal, le calcul est donc simple : il faut gagner pour relancer la machine.
Cameroun-Tunisie : le choc du jour
C’est sans doute l’affiche la plus attendue de cette deuxième journée.
À 19h00 à la Kasarani Indoor Arena, le Cameroun croise le fer avec la Tunisie dans un duel entre deux équipes qui ont remporté leur premier match.
Les championnes d’Afrique camerounaises ont commencé leur campagne par une victoire nette contre le Ghana. La Tunisie, de son côté, a frappé fort en dominant le Nigeria.
Autrement dit, aucune des deux sélections ne débarque à Nairobi avec l’intention de faire de la figuration.
Pour les Lionnes Indomptables, une nouvelle victoire serait une énorme opération dans le groupe C. Mais la Tunisie représente un adversaire d’un tout autre calibre. Ce match devrait donc offrir un véritable test au collectif camerounais.
Le rendez-vous est fixé à 19h00.
Nigeria-Ghana : derby ouest-africain sous haute tension
À 17h00 à l’Ulinzi Indoor Arena, le Nigeria et le Ghana se retrouvent pour un derby ouest-africain.
Les deux sélections ont connu des fortunes diverses lors de leur entrée en lice et chercheront à rectifier le tir.
L’enjeu est particulièrement important dans un groupe C où le Cameroun et la Tunisie ont déjà pris un bon départ. Une nouvelle défaite pourrait éloigner davantage le Nigeria ou le Ghana de la course aux premières places.
Ouganda-Burkina Faso : réaction attendue des Étalons
À 11h00, l’Ouganda affrontera le Burkina Faso à l’Ulinzi Indoor Arena.
L’Ouganda a réussi son entrée en dominant le Sénégal. Le Burkina Faso, en revanche, a été battu par l’Égypte.
Les Burkinabè doivent donc rapidement retrouver leurs repères pour éviter de voir la qualification s’éloigner.
Zambie-Mali et Algérie-Burundi au programme
Deux autres rencontres complètent cette deuxième journée.
À 14h00 à l’Ulinzi Indoor Arena, la Zambie affrontera le Mali, avec l’objectif pour les deux équipes de décrocher un résultat important.
À 13h00 à la Kasarani Indoor Arena, l’Algérie sera opposée au Burundi. Après sa défaite face au Rwanda, l’Algérie doit impérativement réagir.

DR Congo vs Rwanda: a chance for Rwanda to build momentum
The day begins at 10:00 local time at Kasarani Indoor Arena with DR Congo facing Rwanda.
Rwanda made a winning start by defeating Algeria. Another victory could put the Rwandan side in an excellent position to qualify for the next round.
DR Congo, however, will be determined to respond and prevent Rwanda from taking control of the group.
Senegal face a crucial test against Egypt
At 16:00, Senegal will take on Egypt at Kasarani Indoor Arena.
After losing their opening match to Uganda, Senegal need a positive result to revive their campaign.
Egypt, meanwhile, arrive with confidence after defeating Burkina Faso. A second victory would put the Egyptians in a strong position for the next stage.
For Senegal, the objective is clear: win and get the campaign back on track.
Cameroon vs Tunisia: the clash of the day
The headline fixture comes at 19:00 at Kasarani Indoor Arena, where African champions Cameroon face Tunisia.
Both teams won their opening matches. Cameroon defeated Ghana, while Tunisia produced an impressive victory over Nigeria.
The Indomitable Lionesses therefore face their first major test of the tournament.
A second consecutive victory would put Cameroon in an excellent position in Group C, but Tunisia will provide a serious challenge.
Nigeria vs Ghana: West African derby
At 17:00 at Ulinzi Indoor Arena, Nigeria and Ghana meet in a crucial West African derby.
Both sides need a strong performance to improve their position in Group C, particularly after Cameroon and Tunisia made winning starts.
The result could have major implications for the battle for the top places.
Uganda vs Burkina Faso
At 11:00, Uganda will face Burkina Faso at Ulinzi Indoor Arena.
Uganda defeated Senegal in their opening game, while Burkina Faso lost to Egypt.
