Judo camerounais : La révolution est en marche, 40 clubs en guerre au Dojo national
SOA, Cameroun – Le Dojo national de la FECAJUDO a vibré au rythme des projections et des immobilisations, samedi 11 juillet 2026. La grande messe du judo camerounais, le Championnat national individuel cadets et juniors, a tenu toutes ses promesses. Avec 40 clubs engagés venus des quatre coins du pays, la compétition a confirmé une vérité qui ne fait plus de doute : le judo camerounais est en pleine effervescence.
Au terme d'une journée riche en intensité et en rebondissements, c'est Energy Judo Club (EJC) qui a frappé un grand coup. Le club, désormais référence nationale, a survolé le classement général grâce à une moisson impressionnante de 12 médailles, dont 4 en or, 3 en argent et 5 en bronze. Une performance de maître qui lui permet de coiffer la couronne et de laisser ses poursuivants loin derrière.
Sur la deuxième marche du podium, Panthers a réalisé une solide prestation avec trois titres nationaux à son actif, s'affirmant comme un sérieux dauphin. La troisième place revient à Kodokan Judo Bafoussam (KJB), qui a mené une campagne convaincante et prouvé que la région de l'Ouest sait produire du très grand talent. D'ailleurs, l'Ouest s'est illustré en plaçant non seulement KJB, mais aussi ANJ et CBJ dans le Top 8, confirmant le dynamisme exceptionnel de ce bassin de formation.
Mais au-delà des podiums et des médailles, c'est l'élargissement de la base compétitive qui impressionne. 23 clubs sur 40 ont décroché au moins une médaille (58 %) , tandis que 32 clubs (80 %) figurent au classement général. Des chiffres qui parlent d'eux-mêmes et témoignent d'une densité croissante et d'une concurrence de plus en plus relevée sur l'ensemble du territoire national.
La diversité des clubs ayant décroché l'or est également révélatrice de cet essor : HSJ, TFM, CBJ, ANJ, HOP, MJA, PAK, KJC et FNB ont tous goûté à la médaille d'or. Une preuve éclatante que le judo camerounais ne se limite plus à quelques bastions, mais s'enracine durablement dans toutes les régions.
Au-delà des performances individuelles, cette édition 2026 restera comme celle de la confirmation. Le travail structurant mené par la FECAJUDO porte ses fruits, et la relève est prête. The grand gathering of Cameroonian judo, the National Individual Cadet and Junior Championship, delivered on all its promises. With 40 clubs from across the country competing, the event confirmed an undeniable truth: Cameroonian judo is experiencing a remarkable surge.
After a day packed with intensity and twists, Energy Judo Club (EJC) made a massive statement. The club, now a national benchmark, dominated the overall standings with an impressive haul of 12 medals, including 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 5 Bronze. A masterclass performance that secured the top spot and left competitors trailing.
On the second step of the podium, Panthers delivered a solid performance with three national titles, establishing themselves as a formidable runner-up. Third place went to Kodokan Judo Bafoussam (KJB), which mounted a convincing campaign and proved that the Western region knows how to produce elite talent. The West region also distinguished itself by placing not only KJB but also ANJ and CBJ in the Top 8, confirming the exceptional dynamism of this training hub.
Beyond the medals and podiums, the expansion of the competitive base is particularly striking. 23 out of 40 clubs secured at least one medal (58%), while 32 clubs (80%) are ranked overall.
