Le verdict est tombé. Le nouveau classement FIFA publié pour le mois de juin 2025 n’est pas flatteur pour le Cameroun. Les Lions indomptables enregistrent une nouvelle contre-performance en perdant une place pour se retrouver à la 51e position mondiale. Une chute qui, même minime en apparence, alimente les doutes sur la trajectoire actuelle de la sélection fanion.
Sur le continent africain, le Cameroun se maintient à la 8e place, derrière des nations comme la Tunisie et la Côte d’Ivoire, cette dernière ayant pourtant elle-même reculé de quatre rangs au classement mondial pour pointer à la 45e place. Le Nigeria profite de ce déclin des Éléphants pour grimper et intégrer le top 5 africain.
Le Maroc confirme, une fois de plus, son hégémonie sur le continent. Les Lions de l’Atlas conservent leur position de numéro un africain et continuent de briller au classement mondial. Le Sénégal suit de près en gagnant une place pour atteindre la 18e position mondiale. L’Égypte complète le podium continental malgré deux places perdues au niveau planétaire.
L’Algérie, quant à elle, fait preuve d’une stabilité presque exemplaire : 36e mondiale, elle reste solidement installée au 4e rang africain depuis plusieurs mois.

FIFA Ranking: Indomitable Lions slip again, North Africa reigns supreme
The latest FIFA ranking for June 2025 is out, and it's another setback for Cameroon. The Indomitable Lions have dropped one spot and now sit at 51st globally. On the African stage, Cameroon retains 8th place, trailing behind Tunisia and a struggling Côte d’Ivoire.
Morocco continues to dominate the continent, holding its position as the best African team. Senegal moves up one spot globally to 18th but remains second in Africa, while Egypt completes the continental podium despite losing two global ranks.
Algeria remains stable at 36th worldwide and 4th in Africa. Nigeria, benefiting from Côte d’Ivoire’s four-place drop, climbs into the African top 5.
