Londres hausse le ton. Le Premier ministre britannique Andy Burnham a affirmé que l’Iran pourrait avoir joué un rôle dans l’incident survenu aux abords de la base aérienne de Fairford, dans le Gloucestershire, une installation utilisée par l’US Air Force. Cinq personnes interpellées près de la base

Pour Téhéran, ces affirmations s'inscrivent dans une tentative d'alimenter une campagne de propagande anti-iranienne au Royaume-Uni.
