Coupe du monde U17 : le Cameroun aura deux hommes en noir au Qatar

La Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) a abattu ses cartes. L'instance mondiale a rendu publique, ce mardi, la liste officielle des arbitres qui dirigeront les rencontres de la prochaine Coupe du monde U17, prévue du 19 novembre au 13 décembre au Qatar. Au total, 27 arbitres centraux et 54 assistants ont été retenus pour encadrer cette compétition qui verra s'affronter les meilleurs espoirs mondiaux du football.

Le continent africain n'a pas été oublié dans cette sélection. Douze officiels porteront les couleurs de l'Afrique au Qatar : quatre arbitres centraux et huit assistants. Une reconnaissance qui traduit la montée en puissance de l'arbitrage africain sur la scène internationale.

Le Cameroun bien représenté

Le Cameroun figure parmi les rares pays du continent à aligner deux officiels pour ce grand rendez-vous planétaire, aux côtés du Maroc. L'arbitre central Ngah Willy dirigera des rencontres au sifflet, tandis que Vincent Ngimdoh Nkemazem officiera comme assistant. Une double présence camerounaise qui témoigne du sérieux et de la rigueur reconnus aux arbitres locaux formés dans les instances fédérales.

Du côté marocain, El Baroudi Mohamed tiendra le rôle d'arbitre central, épaulé par Abertoune Abdessamad en tant qu'assistant.

Une Afrique bien représentée sur tous les fronts

Au-delà du duo camerouno-marocain, d'autres nations africaines seront également présentes dans le corps arbitral : le Sénégal, le Nigéria, le Rwanda, la Côte d'Ivoire, le Burkina Faso, l'Algérie, la République démocratique du Congo (RDC) et le Congo-Brazzaville complètent cette délégation continentale.

FIFA unveils referee list for U17 World Cup, Cameroon among nations with double representation

FIFA has officially released the list of match officials selected for the upcoming U17 World Cup, set to take place from November 19 to December 13 in Qatar. A total of 27 center referees and 54 assistant referees have been appointed to oversee the tournament, which will showcase the world's brightest young football talent.

Africa secured strong representation in the selection, with 12 officials — four center referees and eight assistants — chosen to represent the continent.

Cameroon stands out as one of only two African nations, alongside Morocco, to place two officials at the tournament. Ngah Willy will serve as a center referee, while Vincent Ngimdoh Nkemazem takes on the role of assistant referee, reflecting the growing recognition of Cameroonian officiating on the international stage.

Morocco's delegation includes El Baroudi Mohamed as center referee and Abertoune Abdessamad as assistant.

Other African countries featured in the officiating corps include Senegal, Nigeria, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Algeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republic of Congo.
