Arsenal écrase Manchester City 3-0 : le Community Shield déjà dans la poche

Dimanche, à Wembley, Arsenal a fait le show. Face à Manchester City, les Gunners ont déroulé un 3-0 sans discussion et ont remporté le Community Shield. Deuxième trophée en très peu de temps pour l’équipe de Mikel Arteta, après le titre de champion d’Angleterre la saison dernière. Une démonstration de force qui envoie un message clair avant le retour de la Premier League.

À dix minutes de la fin, Bukayo Saka a frôlé le 4-0, sa frappe passant juste au-dessus de la barre. Les statistiques confirment la domination relative d’Arsenal en efficacité : 8 tirs dont 4 cadrés pour les Gunners (44 % de possession, 2 corners, 12 fautes) contre 8 tirs dont 5 cadrés pour City (56 % de possession, 4 corners, 11 fautes).

À noter : Tijjani Reijnders était absent du côté de Manchester City (il serait proche d’un départ vers Al-Qadsiah), tandis que Jurriën Timber manquait toujours à l’appel chez Arsenal, toujours en convalescence après une blessure à l’aine.

Avec ce succès, Arsenal ajoute un nouveau trophée à son armoire et montre qu’il part en position de force pour la nouvelle saison. Le championnat reprend dès le week-end prochain. Les Gunners ont déjà frappé fort. City, lui, va devoir se remettre en question rapidement.

With this victory, Arsenal have added another piece of silverware and start the new season in strong form. The Premier League returns next weekend. The Gunners have already shown their intent. City, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly.
