Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting once again proved to be the savior for the New York Red Bulls. The Cameroonian striker scored twice in a 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake in the 26th round of the Major League Soccer (MLS).



Real Salt Lake took an early lead through Zavier Gozo in the 3rd minute, but New York — dominant with 55% possession and 24 shots (7 on target) — fought back.



Choupo-Moting equalized in the 52nd minute before sealing the win with a 90+9’ penalty. The forward now has 15 league goals this season.



The game also saw two red cards in the closing stages: Diego Luna (Real Salt Lake) in the 85th minute and Kyle Duncan (New York) in the 90th.



With this win, the Red Bulls keep their playoff hopes alive, led by a red-hot Choupo-Moting.
