Indomitable Lions: Eto'o and Mfoumou Injured, But Brys' Unbeaten Run Continues Against Uganda
The Indomitable Lions are roaring louder than ever. Last night in Marrakech, Cameroon defeated Uganda 3-0 in a friendly match, maintaining their unbeaten run under head coach Marc Brys.
Jean Charles Castelletto led the squad as captain in the absence of Vincent Aboubakar, who started the match on the bench. Enzo Boyomo, Jean Florent Batoum, and Patrick Soko each found the back of the net, sealing a dominant performance for the Lions.
However, the celebration came with a setback—James Eto’o and Boris Mfoumou sustained injuries during the game and have now joined the medical list. According to team press officer Thierry Ndoh, the medical staff is working hard to get them back in shape ahead of the upcoming match.
Training resumes on Saturday, June 7 at 5 PM at Annex Field 1 of the Grand Stade de Marrakech—the same ground where the Lions clinched their recent victory. Cameroon will face Equatorial Guinea on June 9 as part of the ongoing international tournament in Morocco, where the squad has been camped since June 2.
Marc Brys is shaping a resilient and united team, giving fans plenty of hope for the future.
