Opposés aux Brésiliens de Bépanda pour le compte de la 22e journée du championnat MTN Elite One, les hommes d’Yves Clément Arroga ont livré un véritable récital, infligeant un 4-1 sans appel aux Astres de Douala.
Les intentions étaient claires dès le coup d’envoi : après un nul frustrant lors de la journée précédente, la Panthère voulait frapper fort à domicile. Et elle l’a fait. Dès la 8e minute, une mésentente dans la défense des Astres offre un penalty transformé sans trembler par Kinde Leonald Tchounga (1-0).
À peine remis de ce premier coup de griffe, les Doualais cèdent de nouveau. À la 17e minute, Georges Mbarga Atedzoe double la mise à la suite d’une belle action collective. In a match that was expected to be tightly contested after both teams settled for draws in their previous outings, Yves Clément Arroga’s Panthère side completely dismantled the Astres of Douala, handing them a crushing 4-1 defeat in front of a jubilant home crowd.
From the opening whistle, Panthère showed they meant business. Their high pressing quickly forced a mistake in the Astres' defense, and by the 8th minute, Kinde Leonald Tchounga coolly converted a penalty after a clumsy defensive error (1-0).
The onslaught didn’t stop there. By the 17th minute, Georges Mbarga Atedzoe added a second following a well-constructed team move. And just 11 minutes later, Gaëtan Doko Bello made it 3-0, capitalizing on Astres’ disorganized backline.
The first half ended in total domination by Panthère, while Astres looked completely out of sorts—confused, overwhelmed, and stunned.

Coming back from the break, the home side showed no signs of slowing down. Though Astres attempted to respond, their efforts were neutralized by Panthère’s solid defense.
