L’équipe nationale féminine a remporté la médaille de bronze à l’occasion de la première édition de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations de futsal, en s’imposant avec autorité 4-1 face à l’Angola lors de la petite finale.
Un succès brillantement construit par les Lionnes Indomptables, qui ont démontré tout leur talent et leur détermination. Les réalisations signées Beulou, Mbomozomo (la capitaine), et un doublé d’Elam, ont scellé le sort d’une rencontre maîtrisée de bout en bout par les Camerounaises. Une belle revanche pour un groupe qui n’a jamais cessé de croire en ses chances tout au long de la compétition.
Louis René Épée, sélectionneur de cette équipe ambitieuse, a su insuffler un esprit de combativité et une rigueur tactique qui ont payé. Du banc de touche aux gradins, l’émotion était palpable.
Dans la foulée de ce succès, Dinaly, cheffe de la délégation camerounaise, n’a pas caché sa fierté de ramener cette médaille historique au pays, la joie de Marthe Mouaha était difficilement contenue après le coup de sifflet final.
“C’est une médaille de bronze, oui, mais c’est de l’or dans nos cœurs. C’est la première de l’histoire du futsal camerounais, et elle en appelle d’autres”, a confié une responsable de la délégation.
Pendant ce temps, le Maroc s’est adjugé le trophée continental en battant la Tanzanie en finale. Mais pour le Cameroun, l’essentiel est ailleurs : les Lionnes ont écrit une page nouvelle du sport féminin camerounais, en se hissant sur le podium d’une compétition historique.

The Cameroon women’s national futsal team has written a golden chapter in the country’s sports history by winning the bronze medal at the inaugural edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in futsal, defeating Angola 4-1 in the third-place playoff.
The Indomitable Lionesses delivered a strong and disciplined performance, thanks to goals from Beulou, team captain Mbomozomo, and a brilliant brace from Elam. This resounding victory crowned the tireless efforts of a team led with passion and strategy by head coach Louis René Épée.
With this win, the Cameroonian side secures the first-ever futsal medal in the country’s history — a landmark achievement for a sport still gaining ground on the national scene.
Emotions ran high within the Cameroonian camp. Dinaly, head of the Cameroonian delegation at the 2025 Futsal AFCON, expressed immense pride in bringing home the bronze. Marthe Mouaha celebrated passionately with the players after the final whistle.
"It may be a bronze medal, but to us, it feels like gold. It’s a historic first for Cameroon, and a sign of greater things to come,” a delegation official stated proudly.
While Morocco went on to lift the trophy by defeating Tanzania in the final, all eyes in Cameroon are on the Lionesses, whose tenacity and talent have inspired an entire nation.
This bronze medal isn’t just a win on the court — it’s a symbol of progress, resilience, and hope for women’s sports in Cameroon.
