THE MAIN OBJECTIVE REMAINS POLITICAL TRANSITION!

The CPP has learned of the announcement made this Monday, November 25, 2019 by the President of the CRM, Prof. Maurice Kamto, not to participate in the electoral charade organized by the dictatorial regime of Yaoundé.

This decision, which the CRM justified by the critical situation in the North West and South West regions, as well as an electoral process which remains compromised; makes good sense.

It falls within the logic of the Stand Up For Cameroon movement which initiated a dynamic several years ago in favor of a Political Transition to Rebuild both the State and the Nation of Cameroon.

*It is important at this time to recall that the Stand Up For Cameroon movement was launched by the following political parties : UPC-Manidem, CPP, CRM and Univers on March 31st, 2016. The electoral sirens of the Biya Regime have since seduced more than one. It is therefore important that the present withdrawal of participation in the elections be not just a political tactic, but a real political awakening, which will translate into the concrete action of working in consultation and partnership with the other forces for a genuine Political Transition for Cameroon.*

It is for the pertinent reasons now evoked by the CRM that the CPP, in 2018, decided not to take part in the presidential election and reiterated its non-participation in the electoral charade scheduled for February 2020.

The CPP and its partners in the Stand Up For Cameroon movement call on all other political parties, associations and groups, all Cameroonians who really want to rebuild the country to join the only path that can enable us to obtain this: that of democratic and non-violent Political Transition.

This Political Transition includes the following steps:

• The departure of this dictatorial regime by the will of the sovereign people.

• The organization of a true inclusive and sovereign national dialogue to build a new foundation for the State and the Nation.

• The conduct of institutional reforms (Executive, Legislative, Judiciary) and the reform of key systems (electoral system, education system, etc.)

• The organization of free and transparent elections for a new departure.

The CPP will actively and resolutely continue its fight for the resolution of crises in our country and the establishment of a truly democratic republic.

The CPP hopes that in this new situation, other forces will have the courage and the lucidity to join together and act in order to achieve, as a priority, this salutary goal for the Cameroonian people.

To want change is good. To act for change is better. To act for a rebuilding of the foundation of the country is what all Cameroonian citizens need!

Le CPP a appris l’annonce faite ce lundi 25 novembre 2019 par le Président du MRC, Pr. Maurice Kamto, de ne pas participer au simulacre électoral organisé par le régime dictatorial de Yaoundé.

Cette décision qui convoque la situation critique dans les régions du Nord – Ouest et du Sud – Ouest ainsi que le processus électoral toujours biaisé est pleine de bon sens. C’est fort des raisons désormais convoquées par le MRC que le CPP, en 2018, a décidé de ne pas prendre part à l’élection présidentielle et a réitéré sa non-participation à de fausses élections qui sont prévues en février 2020.

Cette décision s’inscrit dans la logique que le mouvement Stand Up For Cameroon a initiée depuis plusieurs années en faveur d’une Transition Politique pour Refonder tant l'État que la Nation du Cameroun.

*C'est le moment de rappeler que le mouvement Stand Up For Cameroon a été lancé par les partis UPC-Manidem, CPP, MRC et Univers le 31 mars 2016. Les sirènes électorales du Regime Biya ont entre temps séduits plus d'un. Il est important que le présent désistement de participation aux élections ne soit pas juste une tactique politicienne, mais une réelle prise de conscience politique, qui se traduira en acte concret de travail en concertation et en partenariat avec les autres forces pour une véritable Transition Politique au Cameroun.*

Le CPP et ses partenaires du mouvement Stand Up For Cameroon appellent tous les autres formations politiques, les associations et groupements, l'ensemble des Camerounais / es qui souhaitent véritablement la refondation du pays à rejoindre la seule voie qui peut nous permettre de l’obtenir : celle de le Transition Politique, démocratique et non-violente.

Cette transition politique comprend les étapes suivantes :

• Le départ de ce régime dictatorial par la volonté du peuple souverain

• L’organisation d’un véritable dialogue national inclusif et souverain pour bâtir une nouvelle fondation de l'État et de la Nation

• La conduite des réformes des institutions (Exécutif, Législatif, Judiciaire) et des systèmes clés (Système électoral, système éducatif, etc.)

• L’organisation d’élections libres et transparentes pour un nouveau départ

Le CPP continuera de manière active et déterminée son combat pour la résolution des crises que connait notre pays et la mise en place d’un État véritablement démocratique et Républicain.

Le CPP espère que dans cette conjoncture nouvelle, d’autres forces auront le courage et la lucidité d’agir de concert en vue d’atteindre prioritairement cet objectif salutaire pour le Peuple Camerounais.

Vouloir le changement c’est bien. Agir pour le changement c’est mieux. Agir pour une vraie refondation du pays, c’est ce dont l'ensemble des citoyen.nes camerounais ont besoin !
