They graduated from INJS yesterday in a ceremony at the sports complex in Yaounde.

 The 2016 batch of laureates from the National High School of Youth and Sports, INJS graduated yesterday in a colourful ceremony at the Yaounde sports complex jointly presided over by the minister of Sports and Physical Education and the minister of Higher Education.

Speaking during the ceremony the minister of spots and Physical Education, Bidoung Mkpatt called on the graduates to serve with patriotism, courage and creativity so as to take good care of youths who he referred to as the most precious wealth of the nation and hope for the future. He urged them to shun absenteeism and abandoning of duty post and put themselves at the service of the public.

The director of INJS, Dr Ebal Minye Edmond called on the laureates to be ambassadors of the institution and be ready to serve where ever they are assigned to work. He recounted the history of the institution and the changing visions over time saying the dream of INJS now is to be abreast with the LMD system practised in universities at home and abroad.

Other orators at the event included the minister of Higher Education; Jacques Fame Ndongo who reassured INJS that his ministry will enable the institution attain its dream of practising LMD. Justifying the choice of Roger Milla for academic honours, minister Fame Ndongo said the LMD system does not only recognised theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge as Milla had acquired experience playing football.

The graduates who were 353 in number comprised the 3rd batch of senior training and performance instructors christened, “Maturity and Redynamisation”, the 2nd batch of administration and infrastructural management baptised, “Determination and Efficiency”, the first batch of senior inspectorate and sports dubbed “innovation and performance”, the 39th batch of senior sports and physical education teachers under the baptismal name of ‘integrity and Emergence’, the 38th batch of  senior Youth and Action counsellors christened “Competence and Responsibility” as well as assistant sports and physical education teachers and assistant youth and action counsellors christened “Abnegation and Perseverance” and Work and Professionalism” respectively.
