Draws for the 8th finals of the football cup of Cameroon were conducted on Tuesday September 22 at the seat of the federation in Tsinga-Yaounde with four League one clubs to face each other. The defending champions, Coton Sport will lock horns with UMS of Loum while Panthere of Nde will slug it out with Tonnerre of Yaounde. UMS Loum will be no push-overs for the current Cameroon champion, Coton Sport as they eliminated the runners up of the League One championship, Union in the 16th finals.

The other fixtures will pit little known Cinyodev of Buea against Bamboutos of Mbouda and Feutcheu FC against Apejes of Mfou. The 8th finals will also witness a fratricidal war between two emerging club from Ebolowa; Afamba of Ebolowa and Reste du Monde from the same locality. Dynamic of Buea will face Astres of Douala while Lion Blessé of Foutouni will clash with Stade Renard of Melong. The last fixtures will pit Aigle of Menoua and Botafogo.

Prior to the draws, the disciplinary and homologation committee of Fécacfoot validated the results of the 16th finals but for the outcome of the match between Botafogo of Douala and Fovu of Baham. Fans of Fovu Baham reported by invaded the stadium at the 82nd minute while Botafogo was leading and what the fans considered as a goal was disallowed by the referee. Fovu therefore lost the match by penalty to the benefit of Botafogo. The 8th finals will take place on away and return leg basis with the team mentioned first playing host to the away leg matches scheduled for September 26th and 27th.
